This is a Professional Diploma in Risk & Safety Management for Crowds and Events and it is now University Credit-Rated.
Glasgow Caledonian University has credit-rated the Diploma and it's worth 10 ECTS credits at Level 8 in the UK.
This is the ONLY course of its type with University accreditation.
We've been working hard to achieve this since we launched the course. It's take some time but we are there now.
We have also agreed with the University that previous attendees who have successfully completed the course and assessment will be able to achieve the same University accreditation.
There is an admin cost in the University associated with this but we will be paying that cost in this instance.
Speaking about this particular element, Safe Events Director, Martin Cullen said.
We do not want those who have completed the course in the 1st two classes to miss out on this and we do not want to go back to them saying there's a charge now either. We have taken the decision to cover the cost to ensure that as many people as possible beenfit from the new University accreditation for the course.
It's a great milestone for us and for the course and we like that everyone entitled to it, having done the course and completed the work, will now get it.
The first course with confirmed University credits up for grabs kicks off on 31st March.
Since announcing the Credit-Rating addition, people have recognised the added value and we have seen a big upswing in registrations.
At this stage, we do sitll have spaces available.

The price is €1,150 and that includes all costs associated with the certification and the University accreditation administration work.
Thanks to the good folks at Actavo Events Solutions the cost has only increased by €50 since the introductory price and this is to cover the University administration costs.
We initally planned that the course would increase in price after the 1st one but Actavo wanted to come on board financially to help keep the cost down for subsequent courses too.
We are extremely grateful for them doing that and are delighted that the value has been increased on the course.
