Safe Events Helps to Deliver Biggest Fleadh Ever

We won the tender to work on Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann in Drogheda towards the end of 2017 and we'd a senior Team member on it pretty much full-time from then, with support from the rest of the Team, as required.

The Fleadh itself took place in Drogheda from 12th to 19th August 2018. 

With a reported 500,000+ people attending the events over the course of the week, it was the culmination of a whole lot of effort from a lot of different people. Previously the largest estimate on attendance numbers was 400,000 in Ennis in 2017.

The local Fleadh Executive Committee had been around 5 years working to get the Fleadh to Drogheda and they are all volunteers. In fact, a large proportion of those working to deliver the Fleadh this year were volunteers, with our involvement (we believe) the first time a professional event company was tasked with delivering the services we did. 

We'd a Team of 12 or so people plus a wide range of key industry suppliers working with us. Our Team was on site for the guts of 2 weeks, with some members there longer for the build and break too.

Drogheda will host the Fleadh again in 2019 and hopefully we'll be involved.

We will be writing a full Case Study on the Fleadh 2018 in time, once the dust settles.
