We're offering some FREE places on our upcoming Introduction to Crowd Safety & Risk Analysis course. The free places can be secured simply by emailing us and telling us why you want it.

One place is available to an event management student and another is available to someone working or volunteering on charity events.

The cost of the course is €1200 so that's what you'll be saving yourself if you secure one of the free spots.

The Course

The Introduction to Crowd Safety & Risk Analysis course is a 3-day course we're running in November in the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

It's run jointly by ourselves and Prof. Dr. G. Keith Still and is accredited by Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) and the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management (IIRSM).

We ran one back in February and had 33 people on it, as well as a long waiting list.

So far, the attendees for the upcoming course look like this:

  • Members of An Garda Siochana
  • Private medical providers
  • Event transportation professionals
  • Event students
  • Event Health & Safety professionals
  • Brand Managers
  • Freelance event professionals
  • Mass-participation Event Managers
  • Event ticketing professionals

You'll be in good company if you join us all.

Event Management Students

One of our goals is to do what we can to ensure ALL events in Ireland are safer than they currently are.

We do a lot of work with the colleges & universities in Ireland, traveling and delivering sessions and guest lectures etc. We hope that by engaging with the event professionals of the future while they are still students, that Crowd & Event Safety may become a more central consideration for them as they go into industry and plan and manage events professionally.

We do not want the cost to preclude the right student from coming on the course. We've had a number of excellent students work with us over the years and we're sure there are more out there keen to learn about Crowd & Event Safety.

So, we've a FREE place for an event management student. As long as you're currently enrolled in an event management course, then you're eligible.

Just send us an email to training@safeevents.ie to be in with a shot.

Volunteers / people running charity events

One of our goals is to do what we can to ensure ALL events in Ireland are safer than they currently are. We may have mentioned that before.

We do a lot of work with charities and my mother has run a charity for most of her life along with working full-time.

We've a soft spot in our hearts for charities and those who give their time voluntarily to help run events for charities.

So, we've a FREE place for volunteers / people running charity events. As long as your work, be it voluntary or paid, sees you running events for charities, then you're eligible.

Just send us an email to training@safeevents.ie to be in with a shot.

The small print

Our decision on who gets the free places is final. Last time we did this, it was clear from the mails we received who the place should go to and we expect it'll be a similar situation this time around too.

This is not open to full-time event professionals, unless you work full-time for a charity in an events capacity. A full-time event professional, who volunteers their time / expertise on one particular event annually, for instance, is not what we're looking for.

Emails must be received by 5pm on 30th September 2017.

We will then be in touch with the successful people the following week.
