This year we've won 2 GOLD and 2 BRONZE awards.
We won a BRONZE in the 'Best Emergency Preparedness and Risk Management Plan for an Event' category for our work on Wild Lights at Dublin Zoo in its inaugural year.
We've also once again won for our digital and social work for our 2 brands, Cuckoo Events and Safe Events:
Commenting on this year's award wins, Safe Events Director, Mark Breen, said:
'Winning 4 Pinnacle Awards this year is a great endorsement of what we do here and how we do it. The category budget criteria were changed this year and that meant we were up against competition with much larger budgets than our own so to still be taking home wins is great. In particular, to win a BRONZE for the Emergency Planning work we did on Year 1 of Wild Lights in Dublin Zoo is amazing. We loved the Wild Lights events and enjoyed the challenge of planning them in an operational zoo, in the dark for thousands of people across almost 50 nights. Our work on these saw us secure a multi-year deal to continue working on them and sales for the upcoming events are incredible. That's more important to us than awards - happy clients and happy audiences.'
It's been a great year for Dublin Zoo and Wild Lights, with them winning 2 major awards at the Event Industry Awards this year also.
We've always focused heavily on our digital and social work and we've won many awards over the years for our mailers, social media platforms and websites etc.
Martin Cullen, Safe Events Director, had this to say about the other wins:
'We're known for our digital and social work and this year we won GOLD awards for our Cuckoo Events Twitter account as well as for one of our regular mailers and a BRONZE for the Safe Events website. It's extremely gratifying, I have to say. We spend a lot of time on these but they're not always as regular as we'd like them. It can be tough to stay on top of this stuff when we are flat out working on events. So, knowing we can do better, it's great to still be considered among the best in the world at this.'
We enjoy being consistent and winning at the IFEA Awards each year. As truly global events awards, competition comes from all around the world. We like that.
We'd also like to congratulate the team at the Elemental, Limerick Arts Festival who won a GOLD in the 'Best Promotional Brochure' category and who were the only other Irish organisation to win at the IFEA Awards this year.
