Electric Ireland Training

Electric Ireland are involved in an array of events through external sponsorships and marketing activations, some that are planned and managed in-house and some on which they work with event management companies. They came to us looking for us to develop and deliver a 1-day training programme to their Brand and Project Managers.

The content brief revolved around the key deliverables as identified by the John and his team.

They wanted their staff on the ground at these events & festivals to have more of an understanding of what should and should not be done with respect to Crowd & Event Safety. An overview of the general and most common 'dos and don'ts' was important in order to improve the team's comfort level in this regard.

The Challenge

Electric Ireland is active through a range of sponsorships at events like Electric Picnic & LAYA City Spectacular. Their marketing & event staff are involved in the planning & management of these.

Our Solution

We spent a lot of time working with John to establish key deliverables for this training. These conversations and email communications directly informed the custom content we developed and delivered to the team in Electric Ireland.

The Result

We delivered the training in one full day at Electric Ireland’s offices. The content was well-received and the engagement with the content from the group was particularly impressive. They were all interested and eager to enhance their knowledge.

We spent a lot of time working with John to establish key deliverables for this training. These conversations and email communications directly informed the custom content we developed and delivered to the team in Electric Ireland.

What we did

Several of us sat to review the key deliverables and to put an outline structure on the content. We always seek to ensure that all our collective relevant experience is brought to bear in informing content development for client training.

Once we had the structure in place, we set about developing the actual content. We are constantly collating materials to use in training and, as a result, we have a large repository of photos, videos and more that we can incorporate as required.

We produced numerous revisions in reaching the final, delivered content.

We provided:

  • Custom content development
  • Professional delivery
  • Support materials design
  • Post-training support

We delivered the training in one full day at Electric Ireland’s offices. The content was well-received and the engagement with the content from the group was particularly impressive. They were all interested and eager to enhance their knowledge.

What we did

On the day, we delivered a number of modules, including:

  • Introduction to Event Safety
  • Risk Aversion / Subjectivity
  • Risk & Risk Assessments
  • Introduction to Crowds
  • Event Safety & the Law in Ireland
  • Systems, Procedures & Paperwork

There were also a number of interactive exercises to support and reinforce the content throughout the day.

Safe Events provided event safety training to our staff in Electric Ireland. The course was tailored and adapted to meet the specific needs of those who work in the event management area of the business.

The course covered a lot of information, delivered in concise modules that were easy to absorb. The structure was clear, logical and effective.

It was evident that Mark had put a lot of thought and expertise into developing the course based on his own experience of the industry which also made it easy for the people to relate to.

Electric Ireland find the best courses are those which are interactive, engaging and which get people to think and collaborate together. This was definitely one such course.

Safe Events bring a vast amount of knowledge, professionalism and expertise to what they do and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.
